Which states have the most AI-ready brands?

Average AEO score per US state, mapped. Greener states have more brands with strong AI visibility signals; redder states have more brands invisible to AI engines.

Where you sell matters. States with mature small-business marketing ecosystems (CA, NY, TX) typically score higher because more brands there already invest in structured data. If you sell locally, your real competitive bar is your state - not the national average. If you sell nationally, low-scoring states are arbitrage: less local AEO competition for citation slots.

We figure out where each brand is based, then average the AEO scores by state. States are colored green for top quintile, red for the bottom. Hover any state to see its average score and how many brands we've measured there. States with fewer than 50 scored brands are excluded to keep the averages meaningful.
