How does AI Query Revealer work technically?

The extension injects a script into AI platform pages (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) that intercepts the fetch/XHR requests in real time. When AI runs a web search to answer your question, we capture the actual search queries, the sources returned, and which ones get cited in the response. Everything happens locally in your browser — no data is sent to any external server.

Is my data private? What do you collect?

Your data never leaves your browser. All interception, analysis, and storage happens locally via Chrome's storage API. We don't have servers collecting your queries or browsing data. The only external calls are for license verification.

Which AI platforms are supported?

Currently, full support for ChatGPT (queries + cited + consulted sources), Claude (queries + sources), and Gemini (queries + partial sources). Perplexity and Grok support are in development.

What is the difference between cited and consulted sources?

When AI searches the web, it fetches dozens of pages (consulted sources). But it only references a fraction of them in its answer (cited sources). This distinction is crucial for SEO — understanding why some sources get cited while others are read and discarded helps you optimize your content for AI citation.

What is the GEO Score?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. Your GEO Score (0-100) measures how visible your website is in AI-generated answers. It combines 6 dimensions: citation visibility, platform coverage, source diversity, competitive position, trend direction, and consistency. It also includes a technical scan of your site covering robots.txt, schema markup, E-E-A-T signals, and page speed.
