About American Tending Breeds Association
The American Tending Breeds Association was founded in 1990 as a forum for learning and practicing the European style of sheep herding known as tending. Over the years we have expanded our membership to include all herding breeds and styles of herding. Our membership is open to anyone with the majority being located in the northeastern United States. The ATBA holds four AKC licensed test/trials a year (two on a weekend in July & two on a weekend in November.) We hold match shows on the Fridays before the test/trial weekends for those who are not
