Yes. Physicians are present on-site at Carrara daily. Our medical team conducts daily rounds, provides direct clinical oversight of all detox protocols, and is available for same-day consultations throughout each client's stay. This is not a telehealth or on-call arrangement -- our doctors are physically present in the building as a standard part of our program structure.

Carrara treats substance use disorders (alcohol, opioids, stimulants, prescription medications) alongside co-occurring mental health conditions (dual-diagnosis) such as depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders under the direction of our board-certified psychiatrists.

Is medical detox provided in-house?

Yes, medically managed detoxification is provided entirely in-house. Our program is physician-supervised and monitored 24/7 by licensed nurses on-site, ensuring a safe, clinical, and comfortable stabilization process.

How much individual therapy does each client receive?

Each client at Carrara receives more than 80 individual, one-on-one therapy sessions per month -- a level of clinical intensity that is virtually unmatched in residential treatment. This includes daily individual sessions with a dedicated primary therapist, psychiatric check-ins, medical consultations, and specialized modality sessions such as EMDR, somatic therapy, and trauma-focused work, all delivered within a fully personalized treatment plan.
