Will insurance pay for endodontic services?

You will need to check your dental insurance for specific coverage. Many plans offer at least partial emergency coverage for dental trauma and cracked teeth. Others may cover all or part of the cost of a root canal. If you do not have insurance, or your insurance does not cover your care, we accept all credit cards and CareCredit financing.

Is a root canal really painful?

Technological advancements in dental anesthesia make root canal therapy much more comfortable than the procedures of the past. Most of the time, a root canal only takes about as long as a dental filling or crown. You may experience some tenderness for a few days after your treatment, but this should improve with time.

Is an apical surgery performed in a hospital?

No. This surgery can be performed in our dental office, without the need for hospitalization.

Can you save a knocked-out tooth?

If a tooth has been completely knocked out, time is of the essence and the tooth needs to be re-planted in the socket as soon as possible. We prioritize dental emergencies, including dental trauma and knocked-out teeth. Contact us at 925-676-3388 as soon as possible, and come to our office. If you have uncontrolled bleeding from dental trauma go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. If you experience a knocked-out tooth when our office is closed, call 925-676-3388 and follow the instructions in the message.
