Ascona Vineyard Ascona Vineyard sits on a ridge top, at about 2,400 ft. elevation, in Los Gatos, CA. This is one of the premier sites within the Santa Cruz Mountains. Soils are sedimentary sandstone, shale, and siltstone. It looks out onto redwood covered mountains, just 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The site warms up well, but cool air from the ocean keeps the heat in check, along with foggy nights. This Organically farmed vinayrd produces fantastic Cabernet Franc that leaves you wondering if you accidentally pour yourself a top-notice Loire wine.

Littlehale Vineyard Littlehale Vineyard sits at about 500 feet elevation in the Mt. Eden Valley, in Saratoga, CA. About 1 acre of organically farmed Syrah. Farmed by Ken Swegles and the Rhizos crew. It is a warm-ish site with gravely Franciscan shale and clay soils. I have been working with this vineyard since 2022.

Francville Located in Saratoga, CA on the eastern foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. A western facing slope of organically farmed Cabernet Franc, looking onto the esteemed Mt. Eden vineyard some 1,000 feet above. This site has gravely shallow clay loam soils. It is warm here, but these vines always take a long time to ripen, gaining the nickname "Huevona", which is Spanish for lazy. The vineyard is surrounded with fragrant sagebrush and other chaparral, and the wines have a congruent spicy character. The soil and the suns impact bring forth a lush fruit character and great structure.

Camel Hill Vineyard Located in Los Gatos, CA. The vineyard is on an eastern facing slope of gravely and corse gained sandy clay. Sitting at about 850 ft elevation looking over Lexington Reservoir and into Silicon Valley. This is one of the warmer pockets of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The warmth and the clay lend to a generous and lush wine. The presence of sand and sandstone may support the fine tannins. Fitting for the Bordeaux varieties planted here. I worked with the Cabernet Franc from this vineyard in the 2021 vintage.

Wisherman Farms Located in San Jose, CA on the Los Gatos boarder. This vineyard sits on the valley floor along Ross Creek. With about a foot deep of silty clay soils which quickly becomes pebbles and rocks. It is a might 1/4th acre of head trained Zinfandel, about 20 years old, of the Cleaver clone. I farm this vineyard organically with some biodynamic inputs. My dear friends who own the property and their neighbors help out a lot.
