What is a registered dietitian? Why should I see a dietitian?

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are health professionals specializing in food and nutrition who provide a behavioral health approach to nutritional care. All Nourish dietitians are RDNs who have completed a Bachelor or Master's degree in Nutrition, passed a national exam, and complete ongoing continuing education.

Are dietitians the same thing as nutritionists?

No. The title 'nutritionist' is not protected, meaning anyone can use it. All Nourish providers are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN), a legally protected title requiring a Bachelor or Master's degree in Nutrition, a national exam, and ongoing continuing education.

Will my insurance cover my sessions?

Nourish is in-network with major insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and more. 94% of in-network patients pay $0 out-of-pocket.

How many appointments will I need?

Nourish takes an individualized approach depending on your diet, goals, and health issues. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly depending on your needs.

Do providers at Nourish work with children?

Yes, Nourish has many dietitians who specialize in working with children, including issues related to overweight/underweight, diabetes, food allergies, and eating disorders.

What is the Nourish Guarantee for billing?

The Nourish Guarantee is a no-surprise billing commitment. If your appointment gets denied, you won't be charged. If there's a copay or coinsurance, you won't be charged more than your initial estimate until your real cost is confirmed.
