About ICE LIES
This website is a parody based on They Lie, a 1988 science fiction, horror and action film directed by John Carpenter. Community Justice Exchange (CJE) created this parody website as a tool to expose Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s social control and surveillance programs. Despite their violent history, these programs, which ICE calls ‘Alternatives to Detention,’ are sometimes advertised as 'humane'. CJE is working with community-based organizations and directly impacted people so that everyone can see through ICE's lies!
