What is Run Photo?

Run Photo is a free mobile app for iOS and Android that lets runners and endurance athletes turn their workouts into shareable social media content. You can add real-time stats like pace, distance, heart rate, and elevation as beautiful overlays on your photos and videos. It also creates GPS route maps and cinematic 3D Story Replays of your runs. Run Photo syncs with Garmin, Strava, COROS, and Apple Health to automatically pull your workout data.

How does Run Photo sync with Garmin, Strava, COROS, and Apple Health?

Run Photo connects directly to your Garmin Connect, Strava, COROS, or Apple Health account through their official APIs. Once connected, it automatically imports your workout data including pace, distance, heart rate, elevation, cadence, and GPS route. This data powers all the stat widgets, charts, and overlays you can add to your photos and videos.

What is Story Replay in Run Photo?

Story Replay is a Run Photo Pro feature that creates an animated cinematic flyover of your running route on a 3D satellite map. As the animation follows your route, it displays real-time stats like pace, distance, heart rate, and elevation. You can also add photos and videos taken during your run at the exact GPS points where they were captured, creating a complete visual replay of your workout experience.

Is Run Photo free?

Yes, Run Photo offers a free tier that includes photo and video editing with stat overlays, templates, and the widget editor. Run Photo Pro is a paid upgrade that unlocks advanced features including Story Replay (3D animated route flyovers), additional stat widgets, premium templates, and more customization options.

What platforms is Run Photo available on?

Run Photo is currently available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). A web app version is coming soon that will let you create and share workout content from any browser on desktop or mobile without installing an app.

How is Run Photo different from Strava or Relive?

Run Photo focuses specifically on creating shareable visual content from your workouts. Unlike Strava, which is primarily a workout tracker and social network, Run Photo is a dedicated photo and video editor for runners. Unlike Relive, Run Photo offers four creation modes (Photo, Video, Map, and Story Replay), a full drag-and-drop widget editor, customizable templates, and syncs with multiple platforms including Garmin, Strava, COROS, and Apple Health.

What stats can I add to my running photos with Run Photo?

Run Photo lets you add a wide range of running stats to your photos and videos, including: pace (current and average), distance, duration, heart rate and heart rate zones, elevation and elevation gain, cadence, calories burned, split times, and GPS route maps. These can be displayed as individual widgets, charts, summary cards, or custom layouts using the drag-and-drop editor.

Can I use Run Photo for cycling, hiking, or other endurance sports?

Yes, while Run Photo is designed primarily for runners, it works with any GPS-tracked endurance workout synced through Garmin, Strava, COROS, or Apple Health. This includes cycling, hiking, trail running, walking, swimming, and other endurance activities. The stat overlays and Story Replay features work with any activity that has GPS and performance data.
