How do I check if my browser supports WebGL?

Open the benchmark page. If the canvas renders and rotates, your browser supports WebGL. You can also check by running `!!document.createElement("canvas").getContext("webgl")` in DevTools Console — true means WebGL is available.

Can I share my test so others use the same settings?

Yes. Use the Share button on the benchmark page. The link includes your iteration, step size, and resolution scale so anyone who opens it will auto-apply the same parameters for an apples-to-apples comparison.

What is a volume shader benchmark?

A volume shader benchmark stresses your GPU by ray-marching a 3D field (a Mandelbulb fractal) in a fragment shader. It measures frame rate and timing to gauge graphics performance.

Why do FPS and frame time fluctuate?

Browsers, thermal throttling, background apps, and resolution changes can affect performance. We compute stats over a recent window to smooth short spikes.

Which preset should I start with?

Start with Ultra Low for compatibility. If your GPU is comfortable, move to Low or Balanced. High and Very High are for powerful hardware.

Does this work with integrated graphics?

Yes. Performance will be lower than discrete GPUs, but you can use lower presets (fewer iterations, larger step, lower resolution scale) to keep it smooth.

How can I improve performance?

Close other apps, use a performance-focused browser, lower the resolution scale, increase the step size, or reduce kernel iterations. Keep drivers up to date.

Are results comparable across browsers and systems?
