Even simple pool repairs often run in the thousands so if you're buying a home with a pool, it's the smartest investment you can make arming you with the knowledge to negotiate with the seller and being prepared for any future pool repair related expenditures. We use the same testing process for inspections that we use for pool leaks with the main difference being we will confirm all equipment is operational and provide a more detailed report for inspections than a standard leak detection report.

Pool lights and light niches are one of the most common and hardest to deal with leak sources in a pool. Aquadoctor Leak Detection specializes in light niche and conduit leak repair and also offer multiple options for fixing or patching light niches. The cost to replace a light niche these days is around $2500 and we RARELY recommend this repair for many reasons listed in the BLOG section of this website. Aquadoctor uses some trade secret repair methods and also seals off light conduits every job we can access them on regardless of if this is the leak source because we want to elinimate this leak source before you have to spend hundreds on another leak detection just to have another leak company out to seal off the conduit (probably the wrong way- we see it all the time and have to fix their work often)

Performing a dye test on a skimmer, checking for cracks in the tile grout and evidence of previous repair. SKIMMERS SHOULD NEVER HAVE CHLORINE TABLETS IN THE BASKET- THIS CAN CAUSE ISSUE WITH THE PVC GLUE AND PLUMBING CONNECTIONS LONG TERM. This means more work for leak detection companies but please be advised this is not a best practice.

Aquadoctor pinpointed this broken fitting during pressure testing. Pressure testing is the only way to locate broken plumbing underground or under paver decks/slabs; other companies who just started offering leak detection from an online course and only use dye and a hydrophone will miss this.
