Is home detox safe?

A medical detox from alcohol or drugs always carries some risk and should always be supervised by a medical professional. EHD has a private duty nurse on site 24 hours per day assessing the ongoing vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and safety of the client. EHD has assisted in over 2500 medical detoxes in a safe manner.

What does medically supervised home detox include?

The medically supervised home detox includes a qualified physician prescribing and overseeing the process and an onsite nurse, also specializing in home detox. The nurse monitors the client’s withdrawal symptoms, vital signs, and medication management to promote a safe and comfortable experience.

Home detox vs inpatient rehab — which is right for me?

A home detox is not necessarily better than an inpatient rehab, it’s different. Given our 1:1 model of care, our approach is usually more individualized to each client than a program working with either ten, twenty or fifty clients. EHD literally meets the client where they are: in the comfort of their home.

How discreet / confidential is concierge home detox?

EHD offers the most discreet home detox possible. One physician and one nurse interact with the client unless the client is agreeable to a more encompassing team. Once the detox is started, communications between the physician and nurse do not have any identifying information about the client.

How long does alcohol / drug detox take?

An alcohol detox is a minimum of five days. An opiate detox can range between five and ten days. A benzodiazepine stabilization and detox can range between seven and fifteen days. Additional ongoing care and treatment can be arranged as well.
