Is Gnosis app free?

Yes, the app is completely free. It is free to download and has zero subscription fees. It is launching as a Progressive Web App, so you can start quickly on mobile or desktop. You receive more rewards because you're always an owner in the stack. These rewards include cash back on your spend. You can boost your rewards by holding more of the ownership token (GNO), which is linked to decision-making and also helps secure the network. That token remains in your control at all times and you can convert it back into Euros and spend it whenever you wish.

How can I add money to my account?

The easiest way is to send money from your bank to your personal IBAN in the app. Within minutes your money will appear on your home screen as a digital version of the currency - generally EURe. This digital version of euro is issued by an entity that is regulated as an EMI (called Monerium) and is collateralised over 100%. You can also use blockchain-native interfaces like other wallets or exchanges.

How does cashback work?

You can earn up to 5% cashback on eligible card purchases. The exact cashback rate depends on factors such as your GNO holdings and whether you hold the G NFT. Holding GNO is optional. You can use the Gnosis App and card without holding GNO. GNO is a separate crypto asset and its value may fluctuate.

Can I send money to people outside of the app?

Yes, of course you can. You can send digital Euros (EURe) to any European bank account just by sending it to an IBAN from within the app. It will arrive in the bank account as standard Euros. On our side, that transaction is immediate, but it may take your bank time to update. We're working on being able to send money to a mobile phone contact but that will take us a bit longer. If you have crypto friends, you can also send money to another wallet on Gnosis Chain only.

Where is my money stored?

Your money is stored as a digital entry on a highly secure ledger (a blockchain). In most traditional banks your money is an entry on a database that your bank manages. With us, it is stored on the next generation of financial technology. That said, most banks are adopting / have adopted blockchain technology into their systems. We've just been doing it for longer.
