How do you access my code without being a security risk?

ScopeDocs uses read-only OAuth to access your GitHub. We don't clone entire repos or store raw code on our servers. We only index metadata and the specific files needed for documentation. All access is read-only and follows the same permissions your team already has.

Is my data used to train your global AI models?

ScopeDocs does not train public or third-party models on customer data, and we do not sell your data. Connected data is used only to run ScopeDocs (documentation and in-product answers), within the OAuth scopes you approve and your existing GitHub and tool permissions.

How do you handle hallucinations in the AI documentation?

Every claim in ScopeDocs docs is backed by a clickable link to a PR, Slack thread, or Linear ticket. If the source isn't there, we don't invent it. Citations are first-class so your team can verify anything.

Can I manually edit the AI-generated docs?

Yes. The AI provides the draft. Humans have the final say. You can edit, approve, or reject. ScopeDocs is built for human-in-the-loop so your team stays in control.

Does ScopeDocs work with private or enterprise GitHub repositories?

Yes. ScopeDocs works with private GitHub repos and GitHub Enterprise. Access is read-only via OAuth. We only index what's needed for documentation. Your code stays in your infrastructure and we follow your org's existing repo permissions. Safe for proprietary and enterprise codebases.

How much time does it actually take to set up?

Most teams are up and running in about 15 minutes. ScopeDocs is OAuth-based: connect GitHub, optionally Slack and Linear, add a repo, and go. No lengthy migration.
