Is a doctor's referral required?

A doctor’s referral is not required to see a physiotherapist in private practice. Please refer to E.H. (extended health) if referrals are required. It is your responsibility to inquire about your coverage. A physician’s referral is required for physiotherapy under OHIP clinic.

Is there OHIP coverage for physiotherapy services?

Grand River Physiotherapy does provide services covered by OHIP. Check our OHIP page to see if you qualify.

What do physiotherapy treatments cost?

Charges for the assessment and treatment are in accordance with the Ontario Physiotherapy Association Guidelines and are as follows: Initial Assessment $140.00 Treatments $80.00 Vertigo Assessments $165.00 Vertigo Treatments $120.00 Traction ONLY $45.00 Prices listed do not account for OHIP. Please check your OHIP to see if you qualify for any deductions.

How will I be billed?

We can bill directly to most major insurance companies. Alternatively, we accept cash, cheque, and debit as forms of payment. Appointments can be booked 3 – 4 weeks in advance. Please provide us with at least 24 hour notice for cancellations.
