That's between you and the independent professional. Depending on their licensing, they may discuss your pension election options, retirement timeline, insurance needs, or other topics you raise. State Employee Advisor Network is not part of that conversation and does not provide advice.

How can I prepare for my meeting?

Since advisors do not automatically have access to any of your retirement accounts or records, ensure you come prepared with all of the information the advisor may need to accurate advise you.

Are the professionals in your network vetted?

Every professional in our network must hold an active license in the states where they meet with consumers. We confirm licensing status before adding a professional to the network." (Only claim what you actually verify if you also run background checks, say so; if not, don't say "no record of criminality.")
