Lookups

Look up any company by its website and get the full record: AI visibility score, AI crawler reads by engine, whether an AI shopping agent can buy from the site, industry, platform and location.

Every free account gets 20 lookups a month. Past that, lookups cost 10 cents a company found, or 4 cents a company from 5,000, the same per-record rate as a data file. Top up on the API access page inside your account; paid lookups never expire, and a website we hold no record for uses nothing.

When to use the API vs CSV

CSV deliveries are capped at 100,000 records per file. Anything beyond that on your purchase is delivered as API quota. So a 1,000,000-record purchase comes as: one 100,000-record CSV + 900,000 records of API quota you can draw at your own pace.

The API returns the same field schema as the CSV. Each record decrements your apiQuotaRemaining by 1.

Authentication

Pass your API key in the X-Engagemii-Data-Key header. Find your key on the API access page inside your account.

GET /info

Returns your account info, quota remaining, and rate limits.

GET /lookup

One website in, one record out. Returns the full record for a company, in the same shape as a purchased file. A record that is found uses one unit of quota. A website we hold no record for uses none.

Returns 404 not_found when we hold no record for that website, and 400 invalid_domain when the value is not a website.

POST /records

Query records. The same filters as the Buy data page: industries, states, countries, platforms, audienceTypes, scoreMin/Max, hasSocials, paymentProcessors, analytics, emailMarketing, reviews.

limit defaults to 1000, capped at 5000 per request.

offset is 0-indexed. Paginate by incrementing offset by the previous response's count.

Every record carries a _license field uniquely tied to your account. Resale or redistribution is detectable and traceable.

Errors

401 missing_api_key       - X-Engagemii-Data-Key header absent
401 invalid_api_key       - key not found
402 quota_exhausted       - no paid or free lookups left; buy more or wait for next month's free 20
429 rate_limited          - too many requests in the 60s window
500 records_failed        - internal error, retry with backoff

Same 76 fields you get in the CSV: the AI visibility score with its six on-page parts and its off-page authority score with six parts, the agent readiness index and tier with its eight parts, the AI adoption index and tier with its four parts, AI reads by engine, scoredAt, category, audience type, platform, payment, analytics, email tools, reviews, social profiles, and ticker and CIK for public companies. Specification

The full API is described in an OpenAPI 3.1 document: engagemii.com/openapi/data-api.json. It covers every endpoint, parameter, response, error code and the 64-field record schema, and loads into any OpenAPI client or code generator. License

All API access is governed by the Engagemii Data License Agreement. Records returned by the API are subject to the same no-resale, no-redistribution, no-AI-training terms as CSV deliveries. Use of the API is also subject to the Terms of Service.
