Do you provide speech therapy for adults?

Yes. After more than a decade focused on pediatric care, AAD Pediatric Therapy is now expanding to serve adult clients. We offer evaluation and treatment for aphasia and stroke recovery, cognitive-communication challenges, motor speech disorders, and voice therapy.

What ages do you treat?

We work with clients across the lifespan — from infants in Early Childhood Intervention through school-age children, teens, and adults.

Where is AAD Pediatric Therapy located?

AAD Pediatric Therapy is based in Houston, Texas. We serve families throughout the Northeast Houston area in person, are now offering services in Hidalgo County, and provide telehealth speech therapy across the state of Texas.

Do you offer telehealth speech therapy?

Yes. We provide telehealth speech therapy to clients across the state of Texas. Telepractice is an evidence-based service delivery model with research showing comparable outcomes to in-person therapy for many speech and language needs.

Do you offer Spanish-speaking services?

Yes, se habla español. Spanish-speaking clinicians are available.

What insurance do you accept?

In the Houston area we accept Community Health Choice (STAR and CHIP), Texas Children's Health Plan (STAR, STAR Kids, and CHIP), Wellpoint (STAR and STAR Kids), and Molina (STAR and CHIP). We also accept some United commercial plans. In Hidalgo County we accept Molina (STAR). For adults we accept United Medicare Advantage plans. We also accept private pay.

What conditions do your speech-language pathologists treat?

Our SLPs are licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and treat phonological, language, fluency, and articulation disorders, as well as oral-motor concerns and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). For adults, we also provide care for aphasia, cognitive-communication challenges, motor speech disorders such as dysarthria and apraxia, and voice concerns.
