How do I buy something on Aucto?

You can create a free buyer account on Aucto by clicking on the Create Account button on the homepage. Fill in the form and validate your email address to access your account. You will also need to verify your identity by adding a valid credit card to your account.

Is a deposit or payment required to bid on an item?

Aucto may authorize your credit card on file for a refundable bid deposit when you place a bid in an auction or an offer on a buy now item. The amount is released if you are not declared the Winning Bidder. Refer to Aucto's Terms of Use for additional details.

Can I inspect an item before placing a bid or offer on an item?

In-person inspections are available for most items. You must have a valid Aucto account to conduct an inspection. All buyers are encouraged to inspect items prior to placing bids or offers. To request an inspection, click on the Contact Seller button on the listing page.

How do I know if a seller or listing is trustworthy?

Each seller on Aucto goes through a rigorous screening process to ensure they meet trust standards and are legally obligated to abide by Aucto's seller policies. You are encouraged to ask all questions and request an inspection to ensure an item listed for sale meets your requirements. Aucto also offers Premium Listings, which go through additional screening and inspection by Aucto personnel.

What fees should I expect when buying equipment?

You are required to pay the purchase price of the item, any listed Buyer Premium amount as well as any listed logistics fees. Buy Now listings on Aucto feature an 'all-in' price that is inclusive of all fees, except for sales tax.

How do I get my item after I purchase it?

Each listing will specify the party responsible for logistics activities and costs. Typically, you will be responsible for arranging your own shipping carriers for purchased items. Use the Fulfillment feature in your Aucto Account to schedule a pick up slot for your carrier after payment.

Are warranties or guarantees included with equipment purchases?

Most items on Aucto are sold without any warranties or guarantees. Refer to the Seller Terms on each listing for specifics about included warranties and the terms of sale.

What payment methods are accepted on the marketplace?

You can pay for your Aucto invoice via credit card (up to $5,000), ACH, or wire transfer.
