How accurate are Blue Maestro temperature sensors?

Blue Maestro sensors offer industry-leading accuracy with temperature precision up to ±0.1°C and humidity accuracy of ±1.8% RH. Each sensor is individually calibrated against NIST-traceable standards and comes with a calibration certificate. Our Disc range of sensors and loggers uses a Sensirion SHT4x sensor, one of the most accurate and reliable sensing components available.

What is the battery life of your sensors?

Depending on the model and logging interval, Blue Maestro sensors can operate for up to 5 years on a single CR2477 coin cell battery. The Disc Mini, which uses a CR2032 coin cell battery, typically lasts up to 1 year with a 15-minute logging interval, while our Disc Maxi can extend to 5+ years using a CR2477 coin cell battery. Battery level is reported via the app so you can plan replacements.

Can I monitor temperature sensors remotely from my phone?

Yes! Blue Maestro sensors connect via Bluetooth to our free bmLogger app (iOS and Android). For remote monitoring beyond Bluetooth range, our Gateway device connects sensors to WiFi, enabling real-time monitoring from anywhere in the world via our cloud dashboard. Receive instant email alerts when readings exceed your thresholds. SMS and phone notifications are available on paid plans.

How do I set up temperature alerts and notifications?

Using the bmLogger app, you can configure high and low threshold alerts for temperature, humidity, and dew point. When readings exceed your set limits, the app sends push notifications to your phone when you are within Bluetooth range. With Gateway cloud integration, email alerts are sent to multiple recipients on all plans, ensuring critical events are never missed. SMS and phone notifications are available on Small Business and Enterprise plans.

How much data can the sensors store?

Blue Maestro sensors can store up to 100,000 data points in internal memory - significantly more than most competitors which typically store only 10,000-20,000 points. At a 15-minute logging interval, this provides several years of continuous logging. Data remains intact even if Bluetooth connection is lost or the battery becomes flat.
