AI Visibility Scorecard
btclook.com · Technology
Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl BTCLook.com Bitcoin Blockchain Explorer by Coinkite, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

BTCLook.com Bitcoin Blockchain Explorer by Coinkite is a business whose own site puts it this way: "BTCLook.com A Coinkite bitcoin blockchain explorer retired in 2013 when all the data became too big for redis on a average computer." To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 4.0 out of 10.
On the page itself the strengths are clear: a clear heading structure. It is passable on partial sitemap and link coverage. What holds it back is a clearly stated business identity, the technical files AI engines look for, such as llms.txt or an open robots.txt, structured data describing the business and credibility markers like credentials or reviews.
Away from its own site, people discuss it in places AI engines read. There is some, but not much, sign that the domain is only lightly established. Beyond that, almost no other sites link to it, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.
The site links to no social profiles, so there is nothing tying the brand to a wider presence.

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 4/10, BTCLook.com Bitcoin Blockchain Explorer by Coinkite is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.
Q: What is the purpose of BTCLook?
This is a new—and fun—way to verify bitcoin transactions or trace events in the public bitcoin block chain. Since we built our own database and update it continuously in real-time, BTCLook.com can serve as a valuable second-source for confirmation and verification of important transactions. This is entirely new code and is not based on the fine work of Block Explorer or ABE.
Q: Who runs this site?
This site is a side project of Ripe Apps Inc. During the day (and many nights) we make world-class iPhone/iPad apps.
Q: What are the circles?
We show transactions in a network graph. There is a legend at the top of page, but in summary: each circle is a transaction. The size of the circle is proportional to the number of bitcoins that moved in the transaction. Each transaction is connected to others with arrows. Those show the flow of BTC, and again their size is proportional to BTC (but much less so).
Q: What can I search for?
You can enter any hash or public key into the search bar, and if we know about it, we will present it in the best format possible. You can also look at blocks by block-number (depth in longest block chain) using a decimal number in the search field (ie. 123477). Small negative numbers, like -3, will show the third-most recent block. You can also leave the search bar empty to see the most recent block.
Q: What is live streaming?
On the homepage, we update the page as event happen. As each new Bitcoin transaction is annouced on the P2P network, we should a line in the left column. Similarly, when a new block is confirmed, we erase the transactions from pending that are not confirmed (at least once anyway) and we also add to the list of blocks (center column).
