What is a commissioning checksheet?

A commissioning checksheet (also called an Inspection and Test Record or ITR) is a structured document used to verify that equipment, systems, or installations meet specified requirements before handover. It includes inspection steps, acceptance criteria, and sign-off fields for quality assurance during construction and commissioning projects.

What engineering disciplines do you support?

Checksheets supports 15 engineering disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Piping, Civil, Structural, HVAC, Fire and Gas, Fire and Safety, Architectural, Drilling, Insulation, Painting, Telecom, and Quality. Each discipline has specific inspection logic aligned with real commissioning practice.

Can I edit checksheets after they are generated?

Yes, all generated checksheets are fully editable. You can modify inspection steps, acceptance criteria, control types, and any other content. The system also supports versioning so you can track revisions and restore previous versions when needed.

What export formats are available?

Checksheets can be exported as professional, print-ready PDF documents with field-fill values, photos and embedded signatures. Excel export is also available on Professional and above. API users can export structured JSON for integration. Project-level packs can be exported as a single PDF combining every checksheet's responses and signatures.

Can I get checksheets signed off digitally?

Yes. Email any approver a tokenised link — they review the entered values and photos, then sign with a drawn or typed signature directly in their browser. No account required. The signature, signer name and date are embedded in the locked PDF, with an audit row recording IP and timestamp.

Can I fill in checksheets on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Open any checksheet on your phone, tap big Pass / Fail / N/A buttons, attach photos for failures, jot a note per item. It auto-saves as you go and submits a record back to your library tied to the checksheet, the project and the user who filled it.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan gives you 3 checksheet generations with no credit card required. After that, upgrade to Professional (£29/mo) for unlimited generations, or Enterprise (£99/mo) for unlimited team members, unlimited branding templates and the ability to upload your company's past checksheets so new generations match your voice.

Can multiple team members use Checksheets?

Yes, Enterprise includes unlimited team members with a shared checksheet library, unlimited branding templates (one per client), and full API access. It's purpose-built for contractors working across multiple clients.
