Connection Requested describes itself simply: "News and show notes for the podcast that connects the people through the stories they tell. Click to read Connection Requested, a Substack publication. Launched 6 years ago." To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 4.3 out of 10.

The page falls short on a clearly stated business identity, the technical files AI engines look for, such as llms.txt or an open robots.txt, structured data describing the business, a heading structure that lays out what it offers, credibility markers like credentials or reviews and sitemaps and entity links AI can follow.

Away from its own site, other sites link to it. There is some, but not much, sign that the domain is only lightly established. Beyond that, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on, nobody is discussing it where AI engines look and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.
