Resumes you check are analyzed in memory and discarded when the request completes; no copy is written to disk and nothing is shared. An applicant tracking system reads the text layer of your PDF, not the design. A resume is ATS-safe when that text extracts cleanly: real selectable text rather than a scan, a single reading order, standard section headings, parseable dates and contact details the parser can find.
