What are Glial Cells?

Neurons are the most important cells in your body, but in order for them to carry out their functions, they need an entire team of cells to help them out. The ‘support team’ of a neuron is comprised of smaller, but extremely important cells, each playing a specific role in both your central and peripheral nervous system.
