Yes. Dallas Paints is fully licensed and insured, and our crews operate under EPA Lead-Safe procedures when painting homes built before 1978. We contain the area, HEPA vacuum, and dispose of materials properly to protect residents.

What kind of paint do you recommend for kids’ rooms or allergy sufferers?

We recommend low- or zero-VOC acrylic paints with third-party emission testing. For easy cleanability, we recommend a washable matte/eggshell finish with a sealing primer to encapsulate old odors and stains.

How long will my project take, and when can I re-enter the room?

Most single rooms take 1-2 days, interior projects 2-5 days, and exterior projects 3-7 days depending on size and repairs. You can usually re-enter the room the same evening with low-odor paints and ventilation.

What does your surface prep include?

Includes patch, sand, and prime. We fill nail holes, repair cracks, caulk seams, scuff sand high gloss surfaces, spot prime stains, and mask floors/fixtures. Optional services: replace drywall, texture match, and wood rot repair.

Do you help with color selection and sheen?

Yes, our color & sheen consult includes large brush-outs, daylight/LED tests, and finish guidance by room use (matte for walls, satin for trim/doors, specialty enamel for high-touch areas).

How is painting brick different from lime wash/mineral stain?

Paint is full coverage and requires periodic touch-ups. Lime wash/mineral stains are breathable, develop a patina, and require less maintenance. We can provide samples of both so you can compare texture and durability on your property.

How do you schedule exterior work around Dallas weather?

We monitor hourly forecasts and measure surface moisture after rain. Spring/fall are ideal; in summer we use early/late shifts and shade rotation to maintain cure windows and finish quality.

will you work after hours to avoid business downtime?

Yes, evenings and weekends available. We use fast-dry, low-odor coatings, dust control, and clear safety zones so staff can re-enter quickly.
