What if the stump is flared or has big surface roots?

Some trees have a wide root flare at the base. If the “stump area” at ground level is much wider than the cut surface, pricing is based on the true widest grind area at ground level. If you want surface roots ground too, that may be included or priced as an add-on depending on how far they run.

Do you offer rush / same-day stump removal?

Yes — rush service is available when scheduling allows. Rush fees range $100–$400 depending on distance, urgency, after-hours needs, and workload.

How do you price stump grinding?

We price by size: $10.50 per inch of stump diameter, measured at ground level (see measuring FAQ below). There’s also a $200 minimum service call to come out.

Do you remove the wood chips after grinding?

Chip removal is calculated on site because it depends on volume, access, and how far we have to haul. Some customers keep chips for mulch; others want them removed.

How deep do you grind the stump?

We can grind to a typical “below grade” depth for most yards, and we can go deeper by request if you’re planning to replant, pour concrete, or build over the area. Deeper grinding can affect pricing because it increases time and material removed.
