Do I need experience to try diving in the Maldives?

No, you don’t need any experience. You can try scuba diving even if you have never dived before. We offer beginner-friendly Try Dive sessions where an instructor guides you underwater the whole time. You’ll start in shallow, calm water and go step by step at your own pace. Perfect for first-time divers!

Is scuba diving in the Maldives safe for beginners?

Yes! Diving in the Maldives is safe for beginners when done with a professional dive center. All dives are: fully supervised by certified instructors preceded by a safety briefing conducted in suitable dive sites based on your level

What if I get scared underwater?

This is very common for first-time divers. Most people feel nervous only in the first 2–3 minutes, then start enjoying the experience. If get scared, do the following: stop anytime signal your instructor ascend slowly with the guide.

Will I see sharks or dangerous animals?

You may see reef sharks, turtles, morey eels, rays, and many fish species. Reef sharks in the Maldives are completely safe and avoid humans. Encounters are natural and desirable part of the experience – not a risk :)

How deep will I dive as a beginner?

For first dives ( Try Dive / Discover Scuba Diving ), the depth is usually up to 12 meters. This is: safe comfortable enough to see real reef life
