Is a Lead-Safe Certification required by law in New Jersey?

Yes. New Jersey law requires all rental properties built before 1978 to obtain a Lead-Safe Certification. This applies to single family homes, multi-family units, and large apartment buildings. Failure to comply can result in fines and issues with your rental registration.

How long does a lead inspection take?
