AI Visibility Scorecard
fastseas.com · Technology
Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl FastSeas, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

from our crawl and measurement
"Finding the optimum route from point A to point B, using the latest GFS grib weather and ocean current data." That is how FastSeas introduces itself. To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 4.8 out of 10.
Our crawl found a readable heading structure. It is missing structured data describing the business, an llms.txt file and a sitemap.

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 4.8/10, FastSeas is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.
What weather forecast does FastSeas use?
FastSeas uses the latest NOAA GFS model data when calculating routes. Forecast data for the next 16 days is used in the calculation.
Does FastSeas consider the affects of current in calculating the best route?
Yes, FastSeas uses the latest available NOAA OSCAR ocean current data when calculating routes. The routing algorithm will automatically route you through areas of beneficial current, and avoid areas of contrary current.
When are the GFS forecasts updated?
NOAA publishes GFS model data four times a day. The approximate times that FastSeas acquires these new data are shown below: 05:00 - 05:15 UTC for the 00z forecast 11:00 - 11:15 UTC for the 06z forecast 17:00 - 17:15 UTC for the 12z forecast 23:00 - 23:15 UTC for the 18z forecast
How does FastSeas calculate passages that exceed the forecast duration?
When the voyage duration exceeds the forecast duration, FastSeas continues to calculate the voyage using the last available weather forecast data. FastSeas will display warnings in the results and plot this extended portion of the voyage with a dashed line. Close Welcome to FastSeas Weather Routing FastSeas is a sailing passage planning tool.
