Where is the system installed?

The system is installed in your filter plant room. Consisting of two main components – a control unit and activators – with the control unit being mounted on the wall of your filter room, and the activators being attached outside the pipework between the pump and the filter. No part of the system touches the water at any time.

Is this an addition to my existing filtration system?

Yes – FilterControl is an addition to your existing system. It works with all filter types, of any size. It does not replace your filter, and no other special equipment is needed, save for a power point.

How much will I save in chemicals and backwashing time?

Every pool is different. The use of chemical is reduces by approximately 25%, however this can be higher, dependant on system time, bather load and other factors. The reduction in backwashing water wastage is approximately the total volume of the pool each year.

How much does the system cost?

Contact Hunter Technologies to arrange a proposal for your pool. All FilterControl systems are available on monthly rental, and the chemical/water savings the system offers easily offset the rental costs meaning the system is cash-positive.

How does FilterControl minimise bacterial outbreaks?

FilterControl minimises outbreaks by inhibiting biofilm within your filtration system. This biofilm acts like a glue within your pipework, acting as a breeding ground for bacterial outbreaks. Once biofilm takes hold, bacterial growth is exponential. The unique treatment solution offered by FilterControl inhibits this growth – meaning bacterial counts are significantly reduced.

Does the system work with any size pool?

Yes – FilterControl works on pools of all sizes. As part of our onsite assessment, our team will advise the best system to suit your requirements.

Does the system require any maintenance?

The system is automatic and operates 24 hour a day – requiring no input other than a weekly check to ensure the system is powered. Each system features indicator lights for easy, at-a-glance checks. Once per year, a FilterControl technician will conduct a service on the system to ensure it is operating a peak efficiency.
