A buddy and I enjoyed 3 days with Stotts fishing on the Clearwater river and the 30-30 lodge…it was epic and spectacular. In our world small town hospitality and professional fishing guides are always the best. And the Stotts fishing team delivered far beyond our expectations. Being a person who typically enjoys 15-20 guided steelhead trips in the Northwest a year I’ve gained expectations of hard working guides service, respect to the fishery for sustainability and was impressed with the 3 different guides who had varying experience of 3 years, 20+, and 30+years. All worked hard searching out the best hole to try our luck! And we found fish each and every time. And to top it off we throughly enjoyed the 3 nights southern hospitality with great food and comfortable lodging provided at the 30-30 lodge by Lisa, Blaze, Mel and another Lisa. The food was great, with different menus, and flexible in the way it was delivered for preference with personal choice of diet.
The best compliment is that we will come back with no hesitation.

We fished with Jeremy on the Clearwater river for 2 days. You couldn’t ask for a better guide. This was my first time fishing for Steelhead. Jeremy was so knowledgeable. We stayed at the 3030 Lodge. The accommodations were top notch. Mel and family were so hospitable. We are definitely returning again. I highly recommend them to everyone. Although I understand that this is not a prime time for sturgeon, we had a great trip. Tom is very personable, knowledgeable and he clearly worked hard to put us on fish. My trip with Stotts was nothing short of incredible. I started with a day on the Snake River fishing with Tom. This was my first time sturgeon fishing and I could not have had a better guide than Tom. We hit the water early and after a short time, we hooked a sturgeon. I did some research on sturgeon fishing ahead of time and thought I had an idea of what to expect. I was wrong! You truly don't understand the power of these fish until you are trying to land one. It was only because of Tom's guidance, advice, and help that I was able to land my first fish. I was physically exhausted afterwards and we took a break to have a great lunch and share some laughs. In my mind, I wanted to catch another one, but my body was having second thoughts. I was able to get a second sturgeon, but only with Tom's help. Tom, I can't thank you enough for helping me experience catching these incredible fish.
The following day, I met Stormy on the Clearwater River to fish for steelhead. My goal was to catch a new personal best. Literally the first fish of the morning was a personal best of 38in.. Goal achieved! We caught more fish through the morning and then took a break for some great burgers and conversation. In the afternoon, we continued to catch fish until it was time to wrap things up. Stormy was another awesome Stotts guide and host and the steelhead fishing on the Clearwater did not disappoint. Stormy, thanks for a great day.
Lastly, dealing with Lisa to get my trip booked was so easy. She was super kind and helpful in getting everything arranged. My trip with the Stotts fishing family was exactly what I would hope for from every guide service. I can't wait to make the return for another trip.
