Fluentide is a Chinese listening practice platform built on Stephen Krashen's comprehensible input hypothesis. Most ways of learning Chinese fail in predictable ways: textbooks are boring and disconnected from real speech, YouTube videos go too fast and too unstructured for learners to follow, and Duolingo is too easy and too repetitive to ever build real fluency. Anonymous visitors get 2 free episodes; signing up unlocks 1 more for 3 free episodes total. Beyond that, a subscription is required. Pro unlocks unlimited listening, pinyin annotations, English translations, vocabulary and grammar breakdowns, and access to all four proficiency levels. Plans are $4.99/mo Student, $9.99/mo Pro, or $59.99/yr (about $5/mo). The free tier is enough to try the format; the Pro tier is what you need if you actually want to use Fluentide as a daily listening practice.

What HSK levels does Fluentide cover?

All four bands: HSK 1 (Beginner, ~150 core words, slow speech), HSK 2 (Elementary, ~300 words, everyday topics), HSK 3-4 (Intermediate, news and current events at natural speed), and HSK 5-6 (Advanced, native speed with idioms and chengyu). Episodes within each level are calibrated to the same difficulty band so you can stay there as long as you need before stepping up.
