Details Written by: Andy Turner Published: 19 April 2025 Forgotten Radio plays the radio hits you'd have to be extremely lucky to hear on modern broadcast radio. These are the songs that today's "broadcast music research" says are only listened to by an aged-out demographic.
Can I make requests?
No, SoundExchange (the streaming royalties license agency) makes it prohibitive for stations to have that kind of listener interaction without falling into a different licensing class. So, requests are really only at the discretion of air talent who can play song requests as long as listeners don't know ahead of time the time it will play.
Are there any DJs?
This is run out of my house in my spare time, so it's a jukebox format with no DJs during the week. As my time and energy allow, you may hear a hosted show on Saturday nights from 5 pm to 10 pm US Central Time.
