What is the difference between your center and other tutoring services?At Foundations for Learning we start at the beginning and build a solid foundation in the basics. We believe that in order for a child to succeed she/he has to have a good grasp of the basics before they can move on to more difficult steps.

How long will it take my child to complete the reading program?

How long will it take my child to complete the reading program?This is a difficult question to answer without understanding what areas your child is struggling in and why they are struggling. We tell parents to plan on at least a school year, depending on the age of the child when they start. The younger the student, the smaller the gap is to close.

Are you open in the summer time?Yes, we are open all year round. We quite often see students intensively over the summer months to help them be more prepared for the new school year.

Do you work in groups or one-on-one with students?We always work one-on-one with our students in order to tailor the programs to meet your child’s needs.

Will my child be assigned homework?

Will my child be assigned homework?Yes, once your child has gone through the initial parts of the programs, your child will have small amounts of practice to complete each day.
