About this web site
The Freeware Hall of Fame
(what's freeware?) began life as a collection of free computer programs circulated around the world by mail. Later it became a dial-up computer bulletin board promoting and distributing free software. In the mid-1990s Boardwatch Magazine named it one of the world's 25 best BBSs.
When the BBS era passed we opened the web site FREEWAREHOF.ORG on 3/26/1997 at 5 AM, with FHOF sharing the site with the writings of the man who gave us the Great American Email©, Rey Barry.
This site has a Table of Contents with links to about 85 of our pages. Some are less brilliant than others. There are also 392 exciting photos and images like the six super models below.
Above you see our staff closely monitoring the links on this site If any of our links is broken, please let us knowwith our Link Report.
Here you're a guest, not a marketing target We do not collect data (Google collects some)
You use us - we don't use you
No ads here. Our endorsement isn't for sale
You don't sell your body to pay the rent; FreeHOF doesn't accept advertising
Our commercial sides are ebay as useraccount2 and our store Puckish Tendenciesat Zazzle where we create truly unique mugs, bumperstickers, buttons, and mouse pads found nowhere else in the world.
Here you will find our extremely rare, historic Theloneous Monk "postage stamp."
I share what may be the last supply in the world by selling this mousepad at Zazzle where anyone can buy it.
We also sell a mug with my photos of Anna Anderson who believedshe was Anastasia Romanov, the Czar's kid, and Maria Rasputin, daughter ofTHAT Rasputin. They played together as kids and she supported Anna's claim.
We hung out together; I took Rasputin out to dinner. You can read all about it HERE.
We reply to all email, not always coherently
We've had umpteen million visits - hope you find yours worthwhile
