What's included in the free trial?

When you create a free account, you get full access to our first Civil Procedure module — Subject Matter Jurisdiction — including an on-demand lecture by Professor Arthur Miller, the black-letter law outline, flashcards, and real MBE questions. It's a complete, representative slice of the course so you can experience exactly how BarMax works before spending a dollar. You'll also get immediate access to our free MPRE course.

How does BarMax compare to Barbri or Themis?

Three things set BarMax apart. First, every MBE question, practice essay, and performance test is a real, officially licensed question from previous bar exams — not invented simulations. How long does the course take, and can I study at my own pace?

Most students work through BarMax over 8–10 weeks, but the course is entirely on-demand with no fixed schedule or required live sessions. BarMax provides a recommended daily study schedule to keep you on track, but you control the pace. Whether you're working full-time or studying between moves, you work around your life — not the other way around.

What is Solomon, and is it included with my course?

Solomon is BarMax's AI study companion — trained on 16 years of bar prep teaching, not the general internet. It helps you work through MBE questions, tighten rule statements, spot missing issues in essays, and get unstuck without waiting for office hours. It explains things the way BarMax instructors do, because it was built from how BarMax actually teaches. A full BarMax UBE or California course comes with 2 weeks of complementary Solomon access. Do I need to be online to use it?

No. The full course is available offline through the iOS and Android apps — download your materials and study anywhere. BarMax Online requires an internet connection, but the mobile apps work completely without wifi. iOS 15+ and Android 7.0+ are required for the mobile apps.

Does BarMax have a pass guarantee?

Yes. We're confident enough in the course that we offer a refund if you complete the program and don't pass the bar. We publish our pass rates by state — something no other major bar review course does — because we're willing to be held accountable to our results. Is there a discount for public interest work or military service?
