AI Visibility Scorecard
getsplittip.com · Home & Living
Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl GetSplitTip, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

Tip Calculator & Bill Split Calculator describes itself simply: "Free tip calculator and bill split calculator. Add sales tax, pick a tip percentage, and see exactly how much each person pays, instantly, no sign-up." When AI engines look at it, they find little to work with. It scores 4.0 out of 10.
Our crawl found structured data on the page (WebApplication, FAQPage), a sitemap and a readable heading structure. It is missing an llms.txt file.

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 4/10, GetSplitTip is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.
What is a tip calculator?
A tip calculator turns the gratuity guesswork at the end of a meal into a single number. Instead of doing percentages in your head while the server waits, you enter the bill, choose a percentage, and read the tip and total straight away. GetSplitTip goes one step further and also acts as a bill split calculator, dividing the final restaurant bill between everyone at the table.
How to calculate a tip?
The formula is simple: tip = bill × (tip percentage ÷ 100). On a $80 meal with an 18% tip, that is 80 × 0.18 = $14.40, so the total comes to $94.40. If you prefer to calculate the gratuity on the post-tax amount, use the same formula with the total at the bottom of the check instead of the subtotal.
How much should I tip?
In the United States, most people tip between 15% and 25% at sit-down restaurants. Of that range, 15% is generally the floor for service that was fine but nothing more; 18% to 20% is the standard range for good service and what most tables leave; and 25% or above is a way to reward truly exceptional service — a server who went well beyond the ordinary.
