WHAT IS GROUNDING OR EARTHING?

Grounding is connecting with and attuning to the Earth’s natural energy, which benefits the body and mind in numerous ways. Earthing is the exact same thing. These terms can be used interchangeably.

Grounding is easy! You simply go outside and plant your bare feet on a natural earth surface. For example, you could ground by strolling barefoot along a sandy shoreline or even go hiking barefoot. Grounding can be as simple as standing or sitting in your yard. What’s important is that you make direct skin contact with a natural earth surface.

WHAT EARTH SURFACES WILL GROUND ME?

Natural earth surfaces such as grass, sand and dirt are conductive of Earth energy, and thus will allow it to pass through into your body. So are brick and unpainted (and unsealed) concrete that sit directly on top of natural earth surfaces. Asphalt, vinyl, rubber, painted tile, and (dead) wood, on the other hand, are not conductive; rather these surfaces are insulative and will block the absorption of Earth energy.
