What are AI employees?

AI employees are autonomous AI workers that live inside your Growee org chart, just like any other team member. They have a name, a role, a manager, permissions, and a monthly salary (spending limit). They can read company data, take actions, send emails, post to Slack, and report to their manager, all on their own.

How are AI employees different from chatbots?

Chatbots wait for questions and give generic answers. AI employees proactively run on schedules, react to events, have full access to your real company data, appear in your org chart with a manager and role, and have trackable budgets. They're workers, not assistants.

Can AI employees work alongside human employees?

That's the entire point. You go to Team, Add Employee, choose "AI Employee" instead of "Human." The AI employee sits right next to your human team in the org chart, team list, and dashboard. No separate AI platform. It's all one team.

What HR tasks can AI employees automate?

Onboarding workflows (welcome emails, checklists), timesheet auditing, holiday request reviews, evaluation summaries, capacity planning, document generation, weekly report compilation, cost analysis, Slack-based HR support, and more. Each AI employee is specialized for specific operations.

How do AI employees access company data?

Through Growee's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. The AI employee has secure, permission-based access to employee profiles, timesheets, holiday balances, evaluations, documents, projects, and billing data. It queries real data and takes real actions within your permission structure.

How are AI employee costs managed?

Every AI employee has a "salary" that works as a spending limit, monthly or hourly, in USD. If the AI employee exceeds its budget, it stops executing until the next period. Every execution logs tokens used and total cost. You control AI costs the same way you control payroll.

What triggers can activate an AI employee?

Four ways: Manual (click a button), Scheduled (recurring, daily, weekly, monthly), Event-based (reacts to things in Growee like a new hire or holiday request), and Webhook (any external system can call a secure URL). All webhook payloads go through prompt-injection protection.

Do AI employees count toward my seat limit?

No. AI employees don't count toward your seat limit. Hire as many as you need. They're separate from your human employee seats.
