Who developed this methodology and how was it validated?

DentSavant implements and extends a methodology developed by engineers who built and operated a major Canadian liquid transmission operator's systemwide dent integrity management framework. That framework was published at IPC 2022 and validated against 79 excavated features with NDE outcomes, with no false negatives in the study dataset.

What data formats and ILI vendors do you support?

We accept data from all major ILI vendors including Rosen, TDW, Baker Hughes, and NDT Global. DentSavant ingests 3D caliper profiles, optional IMU pipeline geometry data, SCADA pressure histories, pipe material and geometry properties, and crack/corrosion feature listings. Our automated ingestion handles format conversion — just send what you have.

How is my ILI data protected?

DentSavant is a local desktop application — all data is stored in a local database on your workstation or network. Assessment data remains within operator-controlled environments. The software operates fully offline after monthly license validation. This architecture was specifically designed to meet the data security requirements of major pipeline operators.

Do you offer software licensing, full-service assessments, or both?

Both. DentSavant is available as an annual software license for operators who want to run assessments in-house with full data control. We also provide full-service assessments — your team sends the data, our engineers handle the workflow, and we deliver reports structured to support regulatory review.
