What is the International Street Painting Society?

This is a new organization, which will focus on connecting street painters worldwide. There are other local or national organizations, both for chalk artists and general artists, but this non profit group will focus on street artists (which can include chalk & paint, traditional and 3D). We hope to elevate awareness and educate the public, on an international scale, about street painting. (See mission statement)

What is Street Painting?

Street Painting is a physically and emotionally challenging art form. It is usually pastel chalk or tempera paints on the pavement or sidewalk. It can be a spontaneous act, a way to get an idea out to the public, an artist trying to make a living or part of an organized event. Large events or sponsors often hire featured artists to create custom works.
