WHAT IS PLANT-BASED DHA IN SUNLESS TANNING?

Plant-based DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is a naturally derived active ingredient sourced from natural sugars. Commonly used in self-tanning products, it works by reacting with the amino acids in the outermost layer of the skin to develop a gradual, sun-kissed glow without the need for UV exposure. Much like how an apple browns when exposed to air, DHA safely enhances your skin’s tone, creating a natural-looking tan.

Our DHA is made in a biorefinery and sourced from renewable natural plant sugars such as sugar beets, sugar cane and other natural sugar crops.
