What should I expect at my first visit?

Your session starts with a conversation about your goals, pain history, injuries, and what you've tried before. John uses diagnostic bodywork to uncover tension patterns and imbalances, then builds a targeted treatment using myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, and sports massage techniques. You leave with specific exercises, stretches, and guidance to continue your progress at home.

How long has John Davis been practicing?

Over twenty years — practicing in Boston's Back Bay since 2005. Work spans sciatica, TMJ, chronic pain, sports injuries, and pre/post-surgical recovery.

What is the cancellation policy?

Individual appointments require 48 hours notice. Couples workshops require 7 days notice plus a 50% deposit at booking. Canceling with less notice will result in a charge for the full session. You may reschedule one time with appropriate notice.

What are the hours of operation?

Sunday through Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Thursday through Saturday is closed. After-hours sessions are available for an additional fee.

What types of massage does John Davis offer?

Every session is customized and combines elements of myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), deep tissue, and sports massage. Sessions range from 60 to 120 minutes. Couples massage instruction is also available as a 3-hour workshop or 90-minute refresher.
