THE COACH

Mario de Elías is a former professional triathlete and the head coach of Konadots, with more than twelve years of experience as an endurance coach. Since 2017, he has served as his own coach, applying a self-directed methodology that led him to become the first Latin American athlete to complete an Ironman in under eight hours, achieving a 7h52’02” performance at the Ironman South American Championship in Cozumel. He also qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii and earned multiple podium finishes across long-distance and 70.3 competitions. After transitioning from professional competition, Mario continues to train and compete as an amateur athlete and is currently qualified for the 2026 World Championship, maintaining first-hand experience of the training process, performance challenges, and long-term development.
