Is PERRLA a citation generator or a full writing tool?

Both, really. PERRLA creates and formats every reference and citation in APA 7, MLA 9, and Turabian 9 – but it also sets up your full paper (margins, headers, page numbers, title page, the works) and keeps everything updated as you write. You start writing in a correctly formatted document and end with a Word doc that's ready to turn in.

Is PERRLA AI-generated, and will my paper get flagged as AI?

No on both counts. PERRLA's reference engine is human-built and human-tested – we don't use AI to generate content for you, ever. Your writing stays your writing. PERRLA papers pass AI detectors with flying colors because there's nothing artificial in there to detect.

Who actually uses PERRLA?

PERRLA's engine is built by humans reading the actual APA, MLA, and Turabian manuals – every reference type, every weird edge case. We also format the whole paper, not just the citations.

Will PERRLA work with my school's plagiarism or AI checker?

Yes. PERRLA doesn't write any content for you, so there's nothing for an AI detector to catch. Your formatted paper comes out as a normal Word document – your professor sees a paper, not a flagged file.
