AI Visibility Scorecard
letmestayforaday.com · Travel & Hospitality
Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl Let Me Stay For A Day, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

from our crawl and measurement
LetMeStayForADay describes itself simply: "LetMeStayForADay: An almost 4-year journey across 18 countries without money, relying on strangers' hospitality." To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 4.6 out of 10.
On the page itself the strengths are clear: a clear heading structure and sitemaps and entity links AI can follow. It is passable on a partly stated business identity and basic crawler access. What holds it back is structured data describing the business and credibility markers like credentials or reviews.
Away from its own site, other sites link to it. There is some, but not much, sign that the domain is only lightly established. Beyond that, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on, nobody is discussing it where AI engines look and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.
AI crawlers have visited once in our tracking, including ClaudeBot (Anthropic). The site links to no social profiles, so there is nothing tying the brand to a wider presence.

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 4.6/10, Let Me Stay For A Day is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.
So, what was this website about?
On this website I show you that it is possible to travel for free. I figured out that one person can easily share one day of life with somebody else and help out with the basic essentials, like food and a place to sleep. I asked people to let me stay for a day at their place, in return I shared the experiences in the daily reports of this website.
How much money did you spend?
NOTHING since May 1, 2001, when my travels started. I travel from place to place by hitchhiking. Long distances were sponsored by companies who received free advertising in return. I only paid US$35 for the domain name before this project started.
How many invites did you receive?
Before I closed the invite system, I had received 3,577 invitations from 72 countries around the world.
What did you do in return?
All I asked was help with food and a place to sleep. In return, I wrote about everything in the daily reports on this website—about my hosts, their stories, dreams, and whatever happened during my stay. This website currently contains over 500 diary entries and more than 7,500 photographs in the reports.
