Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl The Map of the Universe — 200,000 galaxies from the Milky Way to the edge of the cosmos, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

About The Map of the Universe — 200,000 galaxies from the Milky Way to the edge of the cosmos

from our crawl and measurement

The Map of the Universe 200,000 galaxies from the Milky Way to the edge of the cosmos is a business whose own site puts it this way: "An interactive map of 200,000 galaxies, from the Milky Way to the edge of the observable Universe. Built from 15 years of Sloan Digital Sky Survey data by B. Ménard and N." When AI engines look at it, they find little to work with. It scores 4.9 out of 10.

At 4.9/10, The Map of the Universe — 200,000 galaxies from the Milky Way to the edge of the cosmos is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are these dots?

Each tiny dot is a galaxy. About 200,000 are shown with their actual position and color. Each galaxy contains billions of stars and planets. We are located at the bottom. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is just a dot. Looking up, we see that space is filled with galaxies forming a global filamentary structure. Far away from us (higher up in the map), the filaments become harder to see.

Why are the colors changing?

The Universe expands with time. This expansion stretches the wavelength of light. The farther an object, the redder it will appear to us. The map shows two blue-to-red redshift sequences: one for galaxies (lower half) and one for quasars (upper half).

Why is there an edge?

The top of the map reveals the first flash of radiation emitted soon after the Big Bang. This happened 13.7 billion years ago. Today we observe this radiation not as visible light but as radio waves. It is called the Cosmic Microwave Background. It is the edge of the observable Universe. Any light emitted beyond that has not yet reached us as its travel time is longer than the age of the Universe.

What are these colorful dots?

How to Get Your Company Named by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude
