WHAT DRIVES THE PRICE OF A KITCHEN/BATHROOM?

Several factors. The first is design. A well-designed project will look better and function well. The second is quality. You use the cabinets, countertops, and fixtures daily so it’s important to get something that will make you smile. The third is the construction standards. WHAT IS A BETTER COUNTERTOP? GRANITE OR QUARTZ?

Both products are excellent choices for either a kitchen or a bathroom. Granite is a mix of different minerals. The mix results in patterns, color variations, and veining. Quartz is a crystal just a couple of notches below diamond on the “hardness scale.” It is an engineered product; crushed, colored, then pressed back into a slab form producing a non-porous material that doesn’t require sealing.

HOW LONG DOES A KITCHEN/BATH REMODELING PROJECT USUALLY TAKE?

The build time depends on the size and extent of the remodel. Masters uses only employee labor (not subs) and our craftsmen are assigned one job at a time. The work is continuous from start to finish. Most kitchens take 5-8 weeks and a full bathroom can take 3-5 weeks.

DOES A COMPLETE KITCHEN/BATH REMODEL INCREASE THE VALUE OF MY HOME?

The most valuable room in any home, in terms of resale, is the kitchen followed by the master bath. The exact amount a renovation might add to the value would depend on the local market and the extent of the remodel.

DO I NEED TO HAVE DESIGN IDEAS BEFORE I START THE RENOVATION PROCESS?
