What does Memdex actually do?

Memdex is a Chrome extension that saves your AI conversations and automatically suggests relevant context when you start a new chat. It works across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

How does context detection work?

When you type in any AI tool, Memdex scans your saved conversations for relevant matches. If it finds one, it highlights the keyword and lets you inject the full conversation as context with one click.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All conversations are stored locally on your device, encrypted. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. We never see your data, and it's never used for training.

Which browsers are supported?

Any Chromium-based browser — Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge. Safari and Firefox support is planned.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free gives you manual saves, access to your 10 most recent conversations, and a limited number of context additions. Pro auto-saves every conversation, unlocks access to all of them, and makes context additions unlimited.

Do I need to manually save every conversation?

On Free, yes — click the Memdex button when you want to save. On Pro, auto-save captures everything automatically. You can also import existing conversations from ChatGPT or Claude to get started.
